The Peter O’Sullevan RoR Parades

The 2017  RoR Parades and Musical Ride are sponsored by The Sir Peter O’Sullevan Charitable Trust.

RoR Parades provide the opportunity to showcase the talents and versatility of former racehorses to racing audiences at racecourses across the country.

These include parades at the Cheltenham Festival, Aintree Grand National Meeting, the Scottish National Meeting at Ayr, Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot, and at Chester, Newmarket, York and Musselburgh racecourses.  Popular and successful former racehorses both on the racecourse and in their new careers often take part in the parades.

In addition, RoR has a Musical Ride Display team that performs at a variety of equestrian events including race meetings, Horse Trials and Country Fairs. A team of up to eight former racehorses perform a meticulously choreographed musical sequence to a selection of popular music. The Yorkshire based team of horses and riders was put together by RoR Regional Coordinator, Vicky Smart and Charlotte Wilson, who trains the team and choreographs the routine. To find out more about the Musical Ride Display Team and for bookings please contact Vicky Smart at vsmart@ror.org.uk.
