Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) is delighted to announce the launch of a series of winter webinars designed to help riders get the very best out of their former racehorses. The RoR Winter Webinars 2021-22 comprise of four enlightening sessions, one a month, starting on Wednesday 24th November and concluding in February.
Registration is free and open to all with the webinars aimed at anyone with an interest in retraining former racehorses or considering rehoming one, with advice and feedback that caters for all levels, from grassroots upwards.
As part of its expanded education programme for 2021-22, RoR can also confirm the return of the RoR Live Showcase, which will take place in March 2022 with more details to follow.
All four of the RoR Winter Webinars will be held on a Wednesday evening, starting at 7pm. Viewers will simply need to register in advance to receive the free feed and to submit questions. Each session will incorporate filmed footage of demonstrations, expert panellists and a live Q & A hosted by broadcaster Mark Hayward.
The opening session on Wednesday 24th November, entitled ‘Horse management – first steps’, will cover a range of areas relevant to looking after a recently rehomed thoroughbred. Experts on equine nutrition, dentistry, farriery and saddlery will share their findings and advice with viewers.
Among those pencilled to share their expertise at subsequent sessions are British event riders Nicola Wilson and Laura Collett, and former British Eventing Performance Manager, Yogi Breisner.
