RoR Northern Dressage Horse Championships
A Championship series which encompasses Affiliated and Unaffiliated competition, for all RoR eligible horses including raced, foreign raced and those who have been in training and hold current RoR Competition Membership. Riders must be 15 yrs and over at 1stJanuary 2021.

Eligibility: All RoR Competition registered. Riders must be aged 15 years and over at 1st January 2021.
To be held at the RoR National Championships in August at Aintree International Equestrian Centre.
The Championship classes will run and be judged under BD rules, they will however, also be affiliated to RoR only and no BD grading points will be awarded.
There will be a RoR branded rug and Sash to each winner. Prize money and rosettes to 6thand a finalist rosette to each competitor.
- RoR Northern Dressage Horse INTRO Championship
For horse/rider combinations not to have more than 15 BD points at Prelim level and not to have competed at Novice level before 1st February 2021. Riders not to have competed at Elementary level or above.
- RoR Northern Dressage Horse PRELIM Championship
For horse/rider combinations not to have more than 15 BD points at Novice level before 1st February 2021. Riders not to have competed at Medium level or above.
- RoR Northern Dressage Horse NOVICE Championship
For horses/rider combinations not to have more than 15 BD points at Elementary level before 1st February 2021.
- RoR Northern Dressage Horse ELEMENTARY Championship
For horses not to have more than 15 BD points at Medium level before 1st February 2021.
- RoR Northern Dressage Horse MEDIUM Championship
For horses not to have more than 25 BD points at Advanced Medium before 1st February 2021.
- RoR Dressage Horse SPECIAL – PYO AM 98 or PSG. Qualifier for the RoR ELITE Performance Award Final at the RoR National Championships 2021
Previous winners of the RoR Racehorse to Dressage Horse Championships (except the SPECIAL) up to and including 2019 are no longer eligible to compete at the same level in this Championship Series in subsequent years. In the event of Championship classes being oversubscribed and possibly split, then the prize money will be paid on the overall result.
To qualify, riders must submit two score sheets for the level at the required minimum percentage or above from affiliated competitions, unaffiliated competitions or both. Score sheets must include the registered racing name of the horse, have full details re date and venue and must be signed by the Judge. The qualification is for horse/rider, no substitutes (horse or rider) allowed. Horse/rider combinations are allowed to compete in two classes so long as they have submitted the relevant qualifying score sheets.
Horses qualified with two riders are not allowed to be entered more than once in the same Championship class.
Competitors will receive notification by email, of qualification upon receipt and verification of scores.

Combinations are allowed to take part in this, the RoR Scottish Dressage Horse Series and the RoR Southern Dressage Horse Series, but must submit the relevant score sheets for each Championship.
Competitors cannot use the same score sheet sheets for the three Championships.
THE QUALIFICATION PERIOD HAS BEEN EXTENDED DUE TO ALL THE CANCELLED COMPETITIONS IN 2020 IS 01.09.20 TO 31.07.21 INCLUSIVE AND NO EXCEPTION.
Entries for the Championships open on 01.07.21 and close on 01.08.21 via Horse Monkey.
Minimum qualifying percentage required for each level:
- INTRO – 64%
- PRELIM – 64%
- NOVICE – 62%
- ELEMENTARY – 62%
- MEDIUM – 61%
- SPECIAL (at AM or above) – 60%
Please indicate clearly which Championship (Scottish, Northern or Southern) and which class you are submitting your three qualifying score sheets for.

If you would like your sheets returned (after the competition), a SAE with a minimum of £1.80 postage must be supplied.
