Series Hunter Trials

RoR support the National Hunter Trial Championships and will be recognising the highest placed former racehorses in the 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 100cm classes

To be eligible, horses must hold current Competition Membership and riders must be 15 years old or over on the 1st January of the current year.


Eligibility: In order to be eligible to take part, horses must have current RoR Competition membership (both horses must be RoR competition registered former racehorses in the pairs class) and the RoR registration number must be provided with your entry to the Championships. Riders must be aged 15 yrs or over on 1st January 2020.

September 2020 Announcement from the organisers

"Due to the unprecedented situation over the past months and large number of qualifiers that have been unable to run, we must consolidate the 2020 National Hunter Trial Championship event into the 2021 Championships.

Any qualifying events held between now and the 2021 Final will now be qualifiers for the 2021 Championships.

If you have already gained qualifications, cards & rosettes for the 2020 final: your qualification will roll forward to the 2021 Championships."

The Hunter Trial Championships is an exciting series of hunter trial competitions held at venues up and down the country, and culminates in the annual National Hunter Trial Championship.

Qualifiers are held at venues around the country and the series culminates in the Hunter Trial National Championships, to be held at the centrally located Eland Lodge on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th September 2020.

To qualify you need to place 1st- 3rd with a clear round at any of the qualifying events

Prizes will be as follows:

Individual classes: RoR branded prize to the winner of each height class. RoR branded prizes will also be presented to the highest placed pair of RoR horses in the 80cm Pairs class.
