Spiteri Retraining is based in the beautiful village of Beulah, West Wales. Just five miles from the coast, Spiteri Retraining has retrained over 350 racehorses in the past decade going on to lead happy lives in many different disciplines.

Sophie emphasises individualised assessment and tailored retraining programs for each horse. Typically, horses undergo a 3-6 week assessment period, after which they are matched with suitable long-term homes. To support their retraining experience, Sophie often takes the horses to Poppit Sands beach for canter work and relaxation in the sea.

Beyond her retraining endeavors, Sophie is an active equestrian, having competed up to the 2* in eventing and produces her own horses for the show ring, with some noteable wins at county level and more recently winning the Tattersalla in hand finals at Aintree National Championships in August.

She also serves as a brand ambassador for Emerald Green Feeds, Kevin Bacon's, Audevard and Poly Pads.

In addition to her equestrian commitments, Sophie works as a marketing manager for Mencap and trains for channel swimming!
