Training RoR South West - Flatwork, poles and SJ clinic with Althea Bleekman

BHS accredited coach and professional international event rider up to 4* level. The Bleekman family have been involved in Three Day Eventing since the 1980s, Mum Clarissa won team Gold and Silver at European Championships, and was a member of the Gold Medal winning team at the World Championships in 1986. Between them her three daughters have won four team medals at European Championships and in 2013 Althea also competed in the Senior European Championships. Althea is now very much in the Senior rankings at world level with a wonderful team of horses.

Althea has produced numerous horses and riders up to 4* level. Having worked with young horses from day one she has a lot of experience with different types of horses. This really reflects in her coaching and training of her horses. Althea loves working with racehorses whether that be retraining for a new career or working with horses still in training. Althea says:

“I love working with each horse as an individual and finding out what makes them tick. Racehorses are so intelligent and we can learn as much from them as they can from us.”
