Kemboy and Rachel Sharp parading at Cheltenham Racecourse

This Sunday, 15 June, Hamilton Park will welcome a special Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) Parade at 3pm before the first race, showcasing the diverse second careers available to former racehorses. Supported by the Sky Bet Sunday Series, the parade highlights RoR’s mission to promote responsible aftercare and the inspiring potential of life after racing.

Earlier this year, RoR was named an official charity partner of the 2025 Sky Bet Sunday Series, providing a valuable platform to raise awareness of its work and share success stories from the retraining community.

Taking place in the parade ring, the line-up will feature seven former racehorses who have successfully transitioned into their second careers across various disciplines including dressage, showing, eventing, and leisure riding.

David Catlow, Managing Director of Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), said: “We’re grateful to Hamilton Park and the Sky Bet Sunday Series for allowing us to showcase a fantastic line-up of former racehorses. Many weren’t successful on the track but have thrived in their second careers, highlighting the diverse opportunities available and the need for ongoing support, as outlined in the RoR Strategy 2024–2026. These parades brilliantly demonstrate the fulfilling lives these horses enjoy and help engage racing fans with our work.”
