Competition Northumberland County Show

With agriculture firmly at the heart of the Northumberland County Show we are proud to showcase some of the finest livestock in the country with sections for cattle, sheep, horses, alpacas, pigs and goats as well as the ever popular rabbits and cavies and a marquee packed with poultry of many varieties.

The competitive day culminates in the Grand Parade of livestock in the main area where the coveted Champion of Champions title is awarded.

The competitions aren’t all about livestock – we have our own ‘bake off’ classes in the Competitive Home Crafts marquee and Cumberland & Westmorland wrestling, one of the biggest stick dressing competitions in the country and lots of huffing and puffing in the tug of war.
