Visitors to the new RoR Showcase, which is supported by The Racing Foundation, will have the chance to enjoy live demonstrations and clinics featuring over 20 former racehorses, as well as a wide range of up-close demos, in and around two Arenas. Experts including Olympian eventer Jeanette Brakewell, show producer Katie Jerram-Hunnable, British Dressage Training Director Paul Hayler, natural horseman Guy Robertson and other equine specialists will share their knowledge on selecting, caring for, and retraining the thoroughbred after racing for various equine disciplines. One of the star attractions will be the popular educational company Horses Inside Out staging a live painted horse demonstration. Equine anatomist and sports therapist Gillian Higgins will paint the musculoskeletal system of a former racehorse throughout the day to highlight the physical changes in the transition from racehorse to riding horse.

In addition, there will be an Ask The Experts Lounge where visitors will have the opportunity to ask one-to-one questions and gather more tips and advice from all the experts.

Trade and information stands include British Dressage, British Eventing, British Showjumping, British Horse Society and the RoR Source a Horse team and exhibition van will be on-hand for visitors to find out more about buying and owning a former racehorse.

The day runs from 9.00am to 5pm and will culminate with the RoR Grand Showcase finale featuring all of the day’s retrained horses including 2014 Grand National winner Pineau De Re and former Royal Ascot winner Namibian.
